“An ancient Eiseiorei blacksmith forged a total of only fifteen blades in his lifetime. This is unusual because although forging a blade takes a great deal of time, a well established Eiseioreian blacksmith may make hundreds in his lifetime. However, this particular blacksmith, Gerov, made but fifteen. But, these fifteen blades are both mythical and unique. None were believed to exist until last year, when one was found.
“The blade was Yusai kan Ertaju Kiun.
“Yusai kan Ertaju Kiun, or Yuken, is the most unique and interesting of the blades Gerov made. The blade itself is made of pure silver and a metallic blue substance. As of yet the Aigan race has of yet to identify the material it is made of, and they probably never will. The blade itself is coated in the coldest and most unyielding ice. This ice, for as much as their studies conclude, does not melt at the temperatures of what they say belong to the mythical Mulian, the fire spirit, or the temperature of lightning which, to general knowledge, can melt sand into glass, and to the knowledge of a few, vaporize the air. It is said that in this blade is the fur of the ice spirit. This spirit, Erthan-cada, is said to live in Deisono and take the form of a wolf covered in light blue fur. The hilt of Yuken takes the shape of Erthan-cada's head. The current location of the sword is unknown, having disappeared after year of Aigan study. Roughly translated Yusai kan Ertaju Kiun is Wild Ice Wolf Blade. Yuken is a shortening of the name.
“The fifteen swords that Gerov made are famed to contain the powers of the spirits of Rikon, along with the legendary three swords of Rikon.
“There are other swords. The sword belonging to Mulian-cada is Zoka Utar kan Imeneo (Reckless Flare of the Beast) or Zoken. The sword itself is made of copper and has a strong curve. In the hilt it is supposed that there is a feather from Mulian’s tail. The hilt of Zoken is made of gold and at the end there is a needle fine point that has been covered in poison.
“Not much information could be found about the remaining elemental swords. The one of Sassu-cada is called Sotosei kan Meiso Taru (Roar of the Blue Ocean) or Soken and was cooled in water that fell from Sassu-cada’s wings. Kye-cada’s sword is called Reyso Toso kan Mari (Quick Crack of Thunder) or Reyken. The other elemental swords have continued to evade extensive research.
“The other three blades took a great deal of time and energy for Gerov to make. Their forging accounts for the untimely end of his life.
“One of the three is the Phoenix Talon Blade. The blade is made from steel and takes the form of a broad sword. The guard of the Phoenix Talon Blade is that of a phoenix’s talons and obviously the swords namesake. The hilt was designed to look like that of a leg of a phoenix. At the top of the blade is a red stone that pulsates with the warmth in color of a flame. It can summon black fires or the mighty Takabu.
“The second sword is Sealed Fate. Sealed fate is a large scimitar and made of a highly tempered steel. The hilt of the sword is made of ivory and has engravings in the Cercain script. Attached to the pommel is a tassel of bright yellow. Sealed Fate has two abilities. It can either save one hundred lives or fell one hundred lives in one stroke, depending on the wishes of its master.
“The third sword is Red Blood Lust. The hilt is made of black diamond and the blade of solid gold. It is said that in the making of the sword Gerov put the blood of Juarta-cada into the melted gold. The reason the demon spirit would have agreed to this is unknown and makes the existence of Red Blood Lust dubious. Red Blood Lust is said to make anyone that possesses it go crazy for want of fresh blood. However, the wielder becomes even stronger for every person it kills. The more blood spilt onto the blade, the stronger the wielder. This could, in theory, make one invincible, so there are serious questions about Red Blood Lust’s actual existence.”
