Shadow is rumored to be the ultimate lifeform, not to mention my second favorie Sonic character, though the later isn't a rumor, its true. ^_^ I won't throw Shadow essaies at ya though, because you really dun need 'em. Anyways, he's very quiet, and well, has this urge to kill all of humanity.
These aren't his good points, but I like him because he has an "I don't care" attitude. Shadow's the strong and silent type, oppesed to Sonic who's really cocky and the hero 24/7.
Shadow the Hedgehog was originally going to be this beefed up huge, ugly lizard. Personally, I'm glad Gerald made him look loads better. Anyways, he's technically Project Shadow. A Project designed by Gerald Robotnik to be the ultimate lifeform. Unforutunately, the military, aka GUN, felt that the project was too dangerous for humanity's sake (at least that's what I got out of it). Gun shut down the Space Colony Ark where Gerald was creating the project. Such a shut down killed 70 of Gerald's colleges, not to mention Maria. According to Shadow's memories of the incident, Maria, his only friend ever, died to save him.
Shadow, was captured though, and put in one of those machines that makes you sleep for long amounts of time without really aging. Anywho, Sonic, who is said to look exactly like Shadow. (though I can't see how, Shadow is black and red while Sonic is blue, it isn't that small a difference).
By showing Dr. Eggman the Eclipse Cannon he got access to the remaining Chaos Emeralds. By using their power he could destroy Earth. But just before the cannon fired, he got a change of heart, and helped Sonic stop the cannon, but the prototype was released, and Shadow fought him, but the Biolizard (aka big ugly prototype), attached itself to the Space Colony and steered it towards Earth! Sonic and Shadow transformed and beat the Biolizard in outer space. Shadow wasn't used to being transformed, so he detransformed, still out in space, after transporting the colony away from Earth. Right now he is left for dead.
